It's a faction mod that adds a good handful of unique ships that are more centered around scavenging, as the mod name suggests. More over, if you have the mod that lets you choose your starting fleet, level, faction etc (I think it might be Nexerelin, but I'm just guessing) you can choose Arma Armatura as your fleet and faction to get easy access to their ships and items very useful as the stuff this mod adds can be hard to find since the faction was destroyed so their tech is rare (plus you get some pretty solid ships from the mod for your fleet for free)ĮDIT: also consider giving Junk Yard Dogs a look. Along with just some cool weapons and ships, some of the player controlled ships this mod adds can even land on allied carrier vessels using "landing override" mid battle to repair, resupply and even restore a portion of CR. The ships are generally pretty powerful in a 1v1, but are generally glass cannons that can be overwhelmed pretty easy when running into multiple targets, especially if the ships are cruisers or larger. While it makes advanced turret gyros absolutely OP, most boni are small enough to not be completly broken but big enough to make you reconsider just always building in the most expensive hullmods just to save OP.Īrma Armatura is something that I'll always recommend. Tahlan is a pretty good faction/shipset mod.īetter deserved smods adds boni to vanilla hullmods that you build in using a story point.
